Confession: I didn't have a Genesis when I was growing up. My parents allowed my sister and I to buy a Nintendo and THAT WAS ENOUGH. But my friend across town Matt had one. Keep in mind this was the days before email, texting, social media-- Matt was a local legend-- He had SONIC THE HEDGEHOG.
To this day I still think Mario is superior to Sonic. And to this day I still can't beat Sonic, but that's ok. My kids loved the new movie, we have the mini Genesis, and we all owe our dues to the company that pushed Nintendo to be better and the eventual winner. I'm biased, but Sonic played a huge part of my childhood and I paid him homage with this print.
